Lucy Faulconbridge, Ph.D.

Lucy Faulconbridge, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of weight and eating disorders, relationship issues, communication skills, and life transitions. She has a specific interest in issues and struggles faced by men in today’s world. She is also an executive coach to high-functioning individuals seeking enhancement of their professional skills and performance in the workplace.

Dr. Faulconbridge received her MA and PhD in Neuroscience and Clinical Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and completed her clinical internship at Weill Cornell Medical College in NY.

Prior to opening MLT, Dr. Faulconbridge was on the full-time faculty at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine. There she served as Director of Research in the Center for Weight and Eating Disorders and conducted a 5-year NIH-funded randomized controlled clinical trial which examined treatments for obese, depressed individuals at risk for cardiovascular disease.  

Dr. Faulconbridge is a certified advanced cognitive-behavioral therapist by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and has completed Gottman Level 2 training for Couples Therapy. In her clinical work, she blends techniques from several different therapy orientations including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and psychodynamic psychotherapy.  

As an Executive Coach she has worked with individuals in a range of private-sector industries including private equity, management consulting, commercial real estate, executive recruiting, health care, academia and law firms. She draws on her unique training in neuroscience and clinical psychology to help executives enhance their communication skills, manage relationships effectively in the workplace, and gain the confidence to stand out as leaders in their organization.  

Dr Faulconbridge has extensive training, teaching and presenting experience. She is the author of 28 peer-reviewed publications and 8 book chapters, and she has given more than 60 guest lectures and presentations. She has appeared on NPR’s Voices in the Family and the Think-Act-Be podcast. Dr Faulconbridge serves on the Scientific Advisory Board for ERP Health, LLC, a company committed to developing evidence-based technology platforms to improve treatment outcomes in the mental health field. 

In her spare time Dr Faulconbridge enjoys traveling and experiencing new cultures with her husband, taking her dog Murphy on long hikes, and spending time with her two delightful teenagers. She hopes to one day learn to speak Italian, travel through India, and she is always trying to improve her passable cooking.
